AMERICAN RED CROSS COURSES

 


CPR/AED Classes - The CPR/AED courses incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims of all ages. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate valid for two years.


Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers – The BLS for Health Care Providers course is to train professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate valid for two years.


First Aid Classes - When you take a first aid class from the American Red Cross, you'll gain the skills you need to help others during times of crisis. Designed to last just a few short hours, our first aid classes can help you recognize the signs that someone needs help and administer the right type of care. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate valid for two years.


Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Course  – The ARC Lifeguard Training Course is a detailed training that includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as comprehension on written tests. The certification, which includes First Aid, CPR and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. The American Red Cross is the most respected source for training and certification of this kind.

Participants will learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our courses are designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. With our lifeguard training, you will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries.
Water Safety Instructor Certification Course

Earn your swimming and water safety instructor certification from the American Red Cross, and gain the skills needed to teach courses and make presentations to swimmers of every age and ability. Through our Aquatic Instructor Training program, you can help recreational swimmers meet their goals, refine their skills and stay safe in, on, and around water.

During our swim and water safety certification training courses you'll learn how to help adults and children enjoy their time in the water safely – and in a wide range of ways. Throughout the course we'll focus on a number of key areas that can help you succeed as aquatics instructor, such as: 


Water safety at public pools, homes, natural bodies of water and more.

  • Emergency response protocols
  • Hydrodynamics, including why some things float, resistance to movement and creating movement in water, swimming efficiency and laws of levers
  • Basic aquatic skills, like floating, changing direction, and turning over
  • Swimming stroke mechanics, starts, turns and diving
  • Helping people with disabilities and other health conditions enjoy the water safely
  • Aquatic fitness and training for people of any age
